Hey, I’m Virgil.

An energetic Dutchy in his fifties. Living in Bali. I was never any good at working for a boss. After a few jobs in sales and as a cameraman, I knew it was time to become my own boss.

I moved to Ibiza and started a personal training business. Six in the morning, me counting burpees for hungover tourists who swore that day they’d quit drinking.

Then one day a client called, rambling about how a six-pack would change his life. I listened for a while. And out of nowhere, I threw my phone across the room.

“You just hung up on a client…?” one of my coaches said. I looked up and said…

“I can’t do this anymore…”

And I broke down in tears, sobbing for hours like a child. Not understanding what was happening to me.

Later, I learned that an invisible force had taken hold of me. It creeps up like a thief in the night. It goes by many names, but most people know it as burnout.

It took months to recover. Luckily, my team was taking care of the personal training business, so I could focus on getting better. My mental coach said to me:

“Find something that makes your heart sing. Then optimise it so a burnout never consumes you again.”

I was on a mission and tried many things. Most of them flopped. Then I found courses, and something clicked.

I spent all my savings on masterminds and mentorships. Four years later, I’d built a $10M business and won the 2 Comma Club X award. It’s wild how your life can change with focus and the right mentors.

I was financially free, but something still felt off. So after four years, I walked away from it all. Best decision I ever made.

After a sabbatical, my entrepreneurial side spoke up: “Virgil, it’s time for something new.”

It all started on Twitter when Elon took over and called it X. Before long, I was consulting the best founders in the education space.

I helped them sell out cohorts, optimise their course launches, and scale to multiple six figures. I loved it so much that I still partner with talented founders today.

Here’s what most founders get wrong: they think they need more followers. They don’t.

The money is in the email list. It’s not about open and click rates. It’s about building relationships with smart funnels that convert. Skip that and you leave $30K to $50K on the table.

In the last two years, AI workflows have started to play a big role in my agency. At first I didn’t believe in this AI thing. Too many Terminator movies, I guess. But I was wrong.

The trick isn’t the robot. It’s a human driving the robot. So together with Vinod, my technical co-founder, we built a Marketing OS. The results are wild. I’ve made over $1M+ for my clients, all without burning out.

$100K
Tina sold out her cohort in 50 minutes, more than once.
$126K
Ole on his first course launch.
$190K
Framer across three launches.

When I’m not with clients, I’m kitesurfing, freediving, and writing a newsletter.

Three times a week, I write about marketing, launches, and the Marketing OS. The experiments that worked, my failures, the AI systems I use, step by step. I hold nothing back.

The rest of my time I spend partnering with six-figure founders, building and scaling their offers.

So for now, goodbye. Sign up for the newsletter, and I’ll support you with scaling your business.

“This is much more than a newsletter. This is chatting with a friend who says ‘hey am here to listen and help you every step of the way’.”
