Yesterday, I was in a space hosted by the talented Emma Cheung.
She asked me what the lowest moment in my entrepreneurial journey was.
In a split second, my mind returned to the moment I thought I had made it.
The 20-year struggle was over.
I had built a successful $10M business.
But something was not right.
I had lost my purpose. My business partners had lost their purpose.
It was time to move on.
This feeling led to the dismantling of an empire we had enjoyed building.
And we couldn’t be happier.
Why do I share this with you?
Because you might be in the same position right now.
You’re stressed. You’re exhausted. You’re feeling lost. You feel like everything is a chore.
Like the times your mom asked you to wash the dishes, but you said no, and she jumped off the couch with a pair of flip-flops to smack you on the bum.
At least, that was my life…
I learned that making money can be easy.
There are four important pillars that you need to make it work.
- You need passion.
- You need an email list.
- You need a delivery system.
- You need to package your knowledge.
When you have these three pillars as your foundation, you can start building.
You see…
In my community, I jokingly call it the “Chillverse,” for the lack of a better name. I asked a question.
What’s your biggest struggle?
Two things came out of the survey.
- Where do I start?
- How can I make a consistent income from my business?
This is what you need to do next:
- Think about a time when your client and you felt good about the result.
- Create a unique mechanism for the solution that you offered.
- Run a small paid workshop.
- Collect testimonials and feedback and package your mechanism in a mini-course.
- Book a week of chill time.
- Rinse and repeat.
We’ll talk tomorrow.
