You probably heard this one before.

When you niche down too much, you can get stuck.

Imagine walking into a clothing store, and all they offer is black t-shirts. No colors. No designs.

Just plain black T-shirts.

When you’re a black t-shirt lover, you’ll run with it for a week.

But…

Wouldn’t it be nice to mix it up sometimes?

The key is to find a balance and variation within your niche.

Think of it as being a clothing store owner who specializes in casual wear but can also offer a variety of styles from graphic tees to comfy hoodies.

Now that you’ve followed all the basement dweller gurus’ advice to niche down until you can’t breathe anymore, it’s time to un-niche a little bit.

Identify other problems your audience struggles with.

You’ll find these problems in your surveys and interview transcripts.

Easy peasy.

Follow the signal.

It’s time to be open-minded and listen even more to your audience.

  • Time management.
  • How to niche down.
  • Earning a decent MRR.

Follow the crowd, NOT your mind.
