My mind echoes the words: Why is nobody buying?
My frustration turns into anger. I turn and look at the clock.
2 AM…
The conversation in my mind gets louder. I’m still staring at the ceiling while the sun comes up.

You see, everybody is raving about personal brands.
But what does that even mean?
Do you have to pretend that you are someone you’re not?
Or…
Suck up to big accounts in the hope they mention your name?
You probably tried it all. I know I have.
But…
Dear game changer. There’s light at the end of the tunnel.
Over the years, I have learned that it’s not about what you do.
It’s all about who you know.
This personal brand thing needs some clarity.
My friend Taylin Simmonds elevates branding to a whole new level.
I followed his content and listened to all the spaces he spoke on.
He coined the term Digital Identity.
In my opinion, that‘s brilliant. It changed the way I looked at myself as a personal brand.
Here is a brief explanation of what your digital Identity means in Taylin’s words:
As of right now, you cannot win in the Creator Economy by copying or pretending to be someone you’re not.
It’s not enough to be a ghostwriter, a growth specialist, or a digital writer.
It’s not even enough to be a guru.

And not just someone worth following, engaging with, and buying from.
But someone worth knowing and believing in.
