“Triple your price”.

This was my advice to a new course creator.

There I am.

Sweating in bed, tossing and turning

* What should I charge for my course?
* What if they don’t buy it?

Isn’t that weird? It’s not that I’m a newbie to the entrepreneurial world. In today’s letter, I’ll talk about how you can fight imposter syndrome.
Let’s draw our swords. It’s time to go on an inner battle.

Really, you have Imposter syndrome?

It’s funny. in all the coaching sessions, I get the same question:

“Do you have imposter syndrome?”

A lot of people act surprised when I say that I do. It doesn’t matter if you made millions or you’re dipping your toes in business.
Fear is a normal condition of the mind. Funny enough, it’s there to keep us safe.

Our mind is a mysterious device that often works against us. Let’s look at what’s happening inside your mysterious mind.

Hey, mind, can you shut up for one minute?

He virgil, I love these mambo jambo stories. But can’t you tell me how to get 20 clients?”

I understand your frustration.

For years I had similar feelings when people started talking about the mind.

Can the mind influence the outcome of your business? You’re already using the power of your mind.

Let’s take a closer look:

* I’m not sure if this is the right time.
* I don’t know if it’s good enough.
* What would people think of me?

Do you recognise these thoughts?

I’m here to wake you up. Your ability to control your thoughts has everything to do with your success.

Your ideas start in your mind. Your mind drives your actions.
When you have control over your thoughts, you can control the outcomes.

That’s true power. Focus on your mind, and those 20 clients will become 200.
It’s time to awaken your inner dragon.

It all starts with this.

When you wake up, start by taking a glass of water. Sit down and look at the sky.
I know it sounds weird, but I invite you to try it. Start your day by being in the here and now.

This is my morning routine:

* Be mindful of your breathing.

* Breathe in and breathe out.

* Over time, the length of your inhalation will be the same as that of your exhalation.

* With each breath in, you fill your lungs with air until a point you feel the need to exhale.

* Breathe out and enjoy the sensation of relaxation.

When thoughts arise, let them be.

Say in your mind:

“Thank you for protecting me, but I’m fine.”

You can even visualise that the negative thoughts flow right through you. The power of visualisation is real.
I will dedicate a whole letter to visualisation, but for now, let’s focus on your morning routine.

It takes some practice. But in due time, you’ll reap the rewards. Remember those 20 clients? After 6 months, you’ll have 400.

A solid morning routine will calm your mind. It’s the basis for building your business.

Look at it as a form of mind maintenance.

But wait, there’s more…

Bye Bye Imposter syndrome

Let me introduce a concept that helped me build and grow my business.

It’s called Cry Later.

Look, you always cry first.

What 100 kettlebell swings?” I asked.

My kettlebell coach screamed across the room.

“ Virgil, Pick up the damn bells and start swinging. Cry later”

Have you ever swung a 24 kg kettlebell 10 x 10? If you want to build your character, try it.
But that’s a topic for another letter.

I managed to do it.

I was standing in my pool of sweat. My hands are bleeding.I was about to die.

My coach walked up to me.

“Well done. Now you can cry.”

I’m like, “what?”

He explained.

“You did a very hard task. Now force yourself to think about how hard it is and that you dread doing 100 swings.”

But I did it,” I said.

“You learn fast, my young padawan” (His true words) And walked away smiling.

I learned a valuable lesson in the gym that day. Most of the time, your fears are not worth your attention.

When in fear just do it.

You’ll find it was a silly thought when you step over fear and act. Your mind can not be afraid and work on a task at the same time.

Use the “Cry Later” technique when fear rears its ugly head You’ll find that, in most cases, there’s nothing to cry about.

This is how to do it:

1. Your mind comes up with a negative thought.

2. Ignore the thought, choose a task and take action.

3. Keep going for 15 minutes, take a break, and return to it.

4. When your task is done, take the time to cry about it.

5. You’ll find how silly your thoughts were.

6. Instead of crying, celebrate your achievement:)

Fearless action is the best remedy for imposter syndrome.
Let’s wrap up.
